Optimag blouses are moulded metal cylinders consisting of 100g magnesium, weighted with an iron shot. Optimag aids in the maintenance of magnesium intake during high risk periods associated with the grazing of rapidly growing grass. These bullets help to prevent hypomagnesaemia (Grass tetany) in cattle.

Administration:
Using a bolus gun, 2 optimag bolus should be given to each animal 2-3 days before suspected risk period (e.g. before moving from indoors to outdoor for spring). Always read the leaflet provided before use. 1 bolus gives 3g magnesium per day, 2 boluses deliver 6g magnesium per day.
