Prevention of milk fever
Feeding - Keep cows on low calcium diets to stimulate their body systems to mobilize calcium from the bones. This will help in maintaining a level concentration of calcium in the blood.
Monitoring – Keep a closing eye on cow before calving so you can detect the early stage of milk fever.
Treatment
Once you have detected milk fever you need to provide treatment immediately by using Calciject 40. They is no reason why the animal cant make a full recovery as long as the symptoms are detected in the early stage.
